Painted Hills is named after its surreal colorful layers. The most common color to the naked eye when viewing these hills is a dark red that runs across the hills like a swipe of paint from a brush. Extending across thousands of acres, there are countless places to hike and enjoy this location, making it one of the most iconic places in the Pacific Northwest.
